Lush gardens, gathering a bouquet of fresh flowers, or a walk in the neighborhood, has always brought Fehrenbach joy, allowing her to tune out the busy world and reflect inward. Her mission is to capture these moments in her abstract floral artwork and invite a similar joy and introspection in the viewer.

With dramatic contrast between bold blooms and neutral canvas, Fehrenbach’s abstract florals come alive.
She loves to work with oils for their buttery texture and the way they blend so beautifully wet on wet. Beginning with brushes to create gestural marks using thin washes of paint, she works intuitively with these playful marks informing the overall composition. Her bold bouquets are then built up using palette knives to achieve thick texture and marbled swashes.
